What happens during lab tests for COVID-19?

GatherWell Rapid COVID Testing provides specific instructions for your COVID-19 lab test. They request that you arrive at the testing site at the time of your scheduled appointment and follow the posted signs for swabbing. You remain in your vehicle the entire time.

During your lab test, the lab staff inserts a shallow nasal swab into your nose and swirls it around for a few seconds in both nostrils to collect the specimen.

After swabbing, the lab staff provides instructions on accessing your test results. Antigen and antibody results are available within as little as 15 minutes. PCR test results are available within one hour.

The entire lab test process is quick and easy from start to finish. Most insurance companies reimburse you for COVID testing.

What is group testing?

What happens during group testing?

With group testing, the team at GatherWell Rapid COVID Testing uses their mobile lab unit to perform the COVID-19 testing. The lab staff uses a nasal swab and point of care analyzers, so you get results in as little as 15 minutes.

For your safety and the safety of the lab technicians, GatherWell Rapid COVID-19 Testing requests that you maintain the set social distancing guidelines and that each participant wears a mask.

During the group testing, the lab staff collects secretions from both nostrils with a shallow nasal swab. They test each participant separately.

After collecting the specimen, the lab technicians test the sample and provide timely results.
